Mansourah Massarah Project is located 400km North-West of Jeddah in Saudi Arabia. In May 2026, Byrnecut was awarded the complete underground scope of works, including development and production for Mansourah Massarah Deeps Underground Mining Operation.

Mansourah Massarah Project is Ma’aden’s flagship operation being the newest and largest of its operations utilising open pit mining. This project will be the first underground project on this site.

Byrnecut has been involved with Ma’aden since 2015 at is joint venture operation at Jabal Sayid, where it continues to carry out mining activities under contract through to 2028. Byrnecut is excited to continue this cooperation with Ma’aden at the Mansourah Massarah Project.

Byrnecut’s scope of works includes the construction of all of the surface support infrastructure including camp facilities and management, highwall support, portal construction, decline, vertical and lateral development, paste-fill, production drilling, blasting and haulage.

Using longhole open stopping methods, with a combination of cemented rock fill and paste fill, the project aims to extract approximately 1.1 million tonnes of ore per annum after in the third year of operation.

Mining activities are undertaken by a multinational workforce of Saudi, African, Australian and Indonesian personnel. Byrnecut’s safety and training systems are tailored to meet the varying cultural and employment requirements for this project.
