Byrnecut were awarded the production activities complementing the ongoing rehabilitation and developments services provided reflecting our outstanding performance at the project.

Hamlet was developed as an offshoot of the Athena mine, initially developed in November 2009. The first ore came out of Hamlet in October 2011.

The project is located approximately 15km southwest of the Lefroy Mill on the St Ives Gold Mine lease at Kambalda with Kalgoorlie approximately 80km to the north.

This project primarily employs long hole open stoping with pillars and paste fill. Byrnecut are responsible for all development and production activities underground.

Hamlet operates 365 days per year, 24 hours per day, with both fly-in, fly-out and drive-in, drive-out (DIDO) personnel. DIDO employees reside locally in nearby centres of Kambalda and Kalgoorlie.
