Byrnecut were pleased to secure a contract with Abra Mining through a competitive tender process.

Located in the Gascoyne region of Western Australia, 250km north of Meekatharra and 170km south of Newman, this high-value, high-grade lead-silver project is set to be one of the world’s biggest primary lead mines.

The Abra Base Metals project will be focused on developing the mine from the newly excavated box cut, for later ore extraction via conventional open stoping methods. Long hole open stoping and lead production commenced late in 2023.

The site is accessed via public unsealed roads through the Great Northern Highway. Byrnecut operate this site on a fly-in, fly-out basis from Perth.
