Vacation Program
Designed as a pathway into our Graduate Safety Trainee Program, we encourage students to apply if they are interested in transitioning into a Graduate Trainee role at Byrnecut after completing their degree. The time spent in the Vacation Program can contribute towards the Trainee Program.
About You
Studying a degree in Health and Safety.
Full working rights in Australia.
Hold a valid Manual Driver’s License.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
A genuine enthusiasm to engage in various roles throughout the program.
Graduate Program
This permanent, full-time pathway offers a structured progression to build a career in health and safety leadership, starting as a Safety Trainer and moving into roles such as Safety Coordinator and Safety Manager. Gain practical site experience, professional mentoring and the opportunity to develop the skills required to take on increasing responsibility in keeping our people safe.

Support from colleagues at all levels of the business, plus direct mentoring by the site Safety Manager to guide your career.
Work Locations
Our site-based program means you will be working on a Fly In/Fly Out (FIFO) basis at one of our operations across Australia. Working FIFO involves flying to a mine site to work for a fixed period of time, before flying home for a fixed period of rest and relaxation.
