Getting to know Anne Heath

SEQT Manager at Jundee

Q: How long have you been with Byrnecut?
Anne: 9 years

Q: I hear you started out in Payroll! Tell me about your journey here so far and what led you to where you are now?
Anne: I originally started with Byrnecut in the Payroll team, took an interest in the workers compensation claims, and returned to university to study post graduate Occupational Health and Safety whilst working full time.

An opportunity arose to work as a Safety administrator, so I transferred to Jundee, initially working at a Safety Admin, then Maintenance Planner before going underground to complete the Safety Traineeship.

After completing my underground time, I worked as a trainer and co-ordinator before reaching my current role.

Q: Your proudest professional achievement?
Anne: Returning to university to change my career path, at the time it felt like a big uncertain step, but I am now very glad that I did.

Q: Latest passion / hobby / interest?
Anne: Scuba diving and more recently thanks to a good friend - resin art

Q. All-time favourite movie?
Anne: I enjoy Guy Ritchie movies – I loved the more recent one “The Gentlemen”

Q: Do you think pineapple belongs on pizza?
Anne: Definitely!

Q: What did you want to be when you grew up?
Anne: A marine biologist or architect!

Q: Favourite holiday destination?
Anne: Fiji – for the beautiful beaches, wicked people and endless scuba diving.

Q: What’s your go-to Karaoke song?
Anne: Hands down is always Sweet Caroline

Q: What’s one dish that you must have on the table for a Christmas lunch/dinner?
Anne: Prawns/Glazed ham!
