We are currently seeking applicants for Maintenance Roles across our operations
With over 6,000 employees, the Byrnecut Group is a full-service underground mining contractor, providing services to major mine owners throughout Australia and Internationally. We operate a multi-million dollar fleet of specialised underground mining equipment across multiple continents and conditions.
Duties
- Identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions to eliminate or control risks.
- Conduct inspections to optimise equipment utilisation and analyse failed components to identify and correct malfunctions.
- Use advanced diagnostic tools and techniques to replace components across electrical, hydraulic, mechanical and pneumatic systems.
- Identify mechanical issues and recommend appropriate repairs or improvements.
- Perform scheduled maintenance and repairs to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
- Carry out equipment maintenance and repairs safely, efficiently, and competently.
- Ensure all plant is maintained to OEM and Byrnecut specifications; modifications are only permitted with General Manager approval.
- Monitor material usage and equipment handling to minimise waste and damage.
- Manage maintenance costs by utilising warranties and assessing service and parts options.
- Engage in preventative procedures to uphold the quality and reliability of repairs.
- Complete all work to required quality and specification standards, ensuring documentation is accurate.
Requirements
- Willing to work 12-hour shifts (day/night shift).
- Hold a relevant trade qualification.
- Experience with underground mining equipment preferred but not required.
- Demonstrated commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Hold or be willing to obtain a valid National Police Clearance.
- Hold or be willing to apply for a Dangerous Goods Security Card.
- Hold a valid Australian Manual Drivers Licence.
- Great communication and willingness to work part of a team.
