We are currently seeking expressions of interest from experienced Underground Emergency Response Training professionals to join our projects in Africa and the Middle East in 2023.

The Byrnecut Group is a full-service underground mining contractor, providing services to major mine owners throughout Australia and Internationally. We operate a multi-million dollar fleet of specialised underground mining equipment across multiple continents and conditions.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years mining industry experience in an underground environment
  • At least 3 years’ experience in Underground Mine Rescue as Trainer or coordinator
  • Occupational, Health, Safety, & Training management
  • Cert III in Mines Emergency Response & Rescue
  • A current Senior First Aid Certificate
  • Industrial Paramedic qualification - highly regarded
  • Certificate IV (TAE40116) in Workplace Training and Assessment - highly regarded
  • Demonstrated use of Microsoft Office software: Outlook, Excel, Word; PowerPoint, etc
  • Be self-motivating and willing to liaise and interact with local cultures
  • A National Police Clearance
  • Manual Driver’s License with no restrictions
  • A good understanding of Injury Management processes, particularly in an international environment will be highly regarded

Duties

  • Liaising with site management and our client's on Underground Emergency Response matters
  • Develop, implement, monitor and maintain Emergency Response systems and training in accordance with Corporate, client and project specific Safety Management Plans
  • Ensuring Emergency Response Team training is planned and conducted regularly, and a state of emergency preparedness is maintained and monitored
  • Conducting inspections, record keeping; and coordinating mock emergency drills twice a year
