The success of our business is driven by people who embrace and champion the Byrnecut pillars; People, Safety, Innovation and Results. We seek to employ Graduates who share these values and are passionate about being in an industry full of opportunity, with a diverse community of talent.
Serious about Safety
For us, our commitment to safety is paramount to the success of Byrnecut. Working in a high-risk industry, constant appraisal of our comprehensive health and safety processes is essential to ensure our workers go home safe every day.
We’re Bound by a Great Workplace Culture
We are proud of the camaraderie that has been engrained in the company since its establishment. We see first-hand that when work is driven by a culture of trust and collaboration, the sky is the limit.
Being at the Forefront of Innovative Mining Solutions
We invest in new technologies for mine development (in particular, mechanisation and automation) and work closely with clients and suppliers to improve underground operating practice and technology, which has in some instances influenced an industry standard.
We Embrace Diversity & Inclusion
Byrnecut is an equal opportunity employer, committed to building a culture of inclusion and proud to be diverse. We develop relevant and targeted training and business activities to ensure the broad spectrum of needs are met.

Professional and technical development that benefits both you and the company. Through state-of-the-art equipment and endorsement as a registered training organisation, we train our employees to be the best of the best.
Getting Your Hands Dirty
Direct industry exposure, better placing you to creatively approach challenges and actively contribute to our mining operations.
Rotation through operational, engineering and site management roles for a holistic learning experience.
Individualised Development Plans
You’ll be guided by a competency-based development plan that supports your career ambitions, maintained by performance goals and feedback conversations to build skills, knowledge and experience.
Mentorship and Support
Support from colleagues at all levels of the business, plus direct mentoring from your Project Manager to guide your career.
Our site-based program means you will be working on a Fly In/Fly Out (FIFO) basis at one of our operations across Australia. Working FIFO involves flying to a mine site to work for a fixed period of time, before flying home for a fixed period of rest and relaxation.
As a company that operates across the globe, there’s opportunity everywhere. Take your career across Australia or offshore to Africa, Asia or North America!
Our program forms a pathway to be seconded to the Mining Plus team in the Perth Head Office, to gain exposure to mine planning and drill and blast design.
Attractive Remuneration and Benefits Package
You will be awarded remuneration increases as your progress through roles in the program. As a permanent Byrnecut employee, you also have access to a range of lifestyle benefits to enjoy both inside and outside of work.
Your Future Starts Here
We aren’t just focused on people with strong academic results. We’re looking for people who are wanting to be challenged, think differently, and work in a diverse environment as they embark on their mining engineering journey.
